Darren Pare's 33 Summers

As part of the twitter feed for the Four6Three I ran into the author Darren Pare who is as friendly a person as he is gifted a writer. His content and style easily captured my attention as I read 4 of the chapters to his new book 33 Summers online. Whether you are a casual reader like myself or more of a book worm like my brother I believe it is worth a read. In order to find out more about the book check out the synopsis and links below.

33 Summers by Darren Pare
What does it take to make it in baseball? Jack Mathis shares the dream of many a young boy: he wants to be a major league baseball player. Jack possesses loads of talent and dreams of one day wearing the pinstripes of the New York Yankees. But his dream throws him some curves when he has to overcome family problems, trouble with the ladies, alcohol and drugs. Jack’s father was a former minor leaguer whose career ended in injury. A control freak, he lives vicariously through his son. Does Jack have the will to overcome his problems and realize his dreams, or will he be just another jock who never makes the big time?
