Chicago Cents of Mind (Prince James)

Recent NBA Trade Rumors have Lebron on the move to Chicago.  It looks like the Bulls are pursuing not only King James but Chris Bosh also.  This would become a very deep team with definite title winning ability.  The only question is what exactly does Lebron want to be remembered as?  Lets say you find him in Chicago in the upcoming season, all of a sudden he is not the greatest player to play for this franchise.  Not only will he be switching uniform colors but numbers as the MJ 23 has been retired long ago in Chicago.  Understandably Lebron wants a title but at what cost?  If he goes to Chicago, he will forever be the second greatest player to don the colors.  Is that what he really wants?  All of a sudden he will go from a town that has his image running down the side of buildings, to playing in a arena with someone else's statue out front.

Legacy is what players are remembered for.  Consider a move to Chicago a money move with complete title implications, but one that lacks the echoing power of a legacy builder.  Yes Chicago will love Lebron, yes they will embrace him, yes the Bulls will be a great team again.  However at the end of the day he will still be the 2nd best player to lead the team to a title, the 2nd best player to rule in Chicago, & the 2nd best player is not something Lebron is used to being.  Choose wisely Lebron your legacy/ego  is at stake!
