Winds Shift...New NCAA Conference Updates

Last week it looked like we had seen the end of the Big12.  However in changes Monday made to the television contract of the conference by Big12 Commissioner Dan Beebe it looks as if the remaining 10 schools could stay together.  A new deal could be signed by remaining schools as early as late this afternoon.  If in fact they do remain a conference it would leave the PAC10 to pursue Utah from the Mountain West sources are reporting.  So even after the MWC adds Boise State to boost its strength it could lose its team which has the most BCS success.  The Pac10 would then be launching a conference tv network in 2012.  It's the latest twists from the source that broke the story on college realignment Orangebloods.com .
