Utah has scheduled a news conference for 1 p.m. MST today in which they will announce their plans to join the PAC 10/12. Their news conference will shortly be followed by the MWC probably intending to do some damage control.
So what does this change? Everything! Money is a large driver in this deal and it would be foolish to ignore its impact. Money increases facilities, stadium funds, promotion of the team and many others. Each of these play a part when it comes to recruiting. Many recruits being noted on early stories have already stated that the move changes so much that was going into their decision. Among those impacted are a 4 star recruit and a top 10 running back. Besides money it will also increase exposure and the ability to play in a automatic qualifying BCS conference. Like any move there will probably be some bumps in the road but expect Utah to reap the benefits of "Moving" forward.
